Bobcat Café

Marshalltown Community School District is proud to announce the grand opening of Bobcat Café, a vibrant new addition to the community. This student-led coffee shop, located at the B.A. Niblock MCSD Orpheum Welcome Center, will officially open its doors on Thursday, March 6. Bobcat Café is the result of the hard work and dedication of Marshalltown High School students participating in the school’s culinary and entrepreneurship program.

Bobcat Café blends education with real-world experience, providing students with hands-on opportunities in both culinary arts and business management. Through this initiative, students develop essential skills such as coffee preparation, customer service, and day-to-day café operations, building confidence and preparing for future careers. More than just a coffee shop, Bobcat Café is an educational journey that empowers young leaders.

Beyond its role as a learning space, Bobcat Café also fosters connections between students and the community. Guests can enjoy quality coffee and service while directly supporting the development of Marshalltown’s future leaders. Every cup served helps sustain the program and celebrates the dedication and talent of the students behind it.

The grand opening on March 6 invites the community to come together in support of Marshalltown’s students. By visiting Bobcat Café, customers not only enjoy a delicious beverage but also play a vital role in fueling futures and advancing innovative education.

Bobcat Café will be open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., offering a welcoming space for morning visitors. While the menu is currently limited, new offerings will be introduced in the near future. For questions, please contact MHS Family and Consumer Science Teacher Jules McGrew at (641) 754-1130.
