Dear Franklin Families, Guests and Community Members:
Hello! My name is Tim Holmgren and I have had the privilege to serve as Franklin Elementary Principal since 2007. Marshalltown became my family’s home in 2001. Franklin includes 3-sections Kindergarten through 4th grade and an inclusive Preschool classroom with a.m and p.m. sections. Our students are representative of cultures from around the world and we believe our diversity is one of our school and community’s best assets! We prepare students for life.
Our staff includes over 50 Educators who believe each student can learn and it is our responsibility to provide students access to high-quality educational experiences. Franklin staff provide a continuum of services including academic enrichment, behavioral programming, programming for unique learners, English as a Second Language programming, Social Emotional Learning and academic support.
Team Franklin Parent Group is a volunteer group that supports learning experiences at Franklin. They engage in fundraising for student activities and teacher support enhancing our school’s learning experience. All families are encouraged to join this important group.
Student learning and experiences are at the forefront of our District mission. Franklin students receive high-quality core instruction delivered by highly-qualified teachers. We strive for every student to learn and grow and demonstrate Cooperation, Assertiveness, Responsibility, Empathy and Self-Control.
